Le studio néerlandais Maki est né de l'association de Matthijs Maat, graphiste, et Kim Smits, illustratrice. Ils répondent à des projets divers : illustrations pour des magazines et des livres pour enfants, identités de marques, customisation de chaussures, pochettes de Cds, packaging, affiches, flyers, tatouages...
Based in the outskirts of Groningen, Dutch studio Maki was created when graphic designer Matthijs Maat teamed up with illustrator Kim Smits in 2005. The duo have enjoyed steadily growing success, flowing from the complementary nature of their formal talents and sensibilities, which produce an original, fresh and sometimes knowingly naive style of linework.
