Entre juillet 2014 et mai 2015, l'artiste a dessiné une série de 445 têtes à l'encre de Chine publiées quotidiennement sur ses réseaux sociaux avant d'être compilées dans cet ouvrage.

For me, it afforded an opportunity to return to working with India ink, a medium I used extensively a long time ago. From this sketchy reminder, at a time when it's becoming invaluable to be able to reconnect strands spanning a lifetime, a channel opens up : I begin drawing heads using Indian ink. . Between July 30th, 2014 and May 10th, 2015, Pierre Hébert drew heads. Sometimes several per day, up to 445 heads in 254 days. He decided to post them daily on the social media for a year « as a sort of postal art, » then to make them into a book. . 10 May 2015 / I completed the series of drawings of « heads. » The last one is number 445. With this many, it will be possible to publish daily drawings on Facebook and Twitter until 2 August 2015. From 3 July to 2 August, there will be two drawings every day. .
